Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Group Manager for its Rutherford, NJ location.
Duties: Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of data profiling needs of retail risk. Responsible for Data Integration of multiple legacy data flows. Own and maintain end-to-end Data Flow and Architecture of Global Finance and Risk Data on Big Data platform. Develop and implement custom and complex transformation (Extract Transform Load -ETL) application software to support the data acquisition and consumption requirements via baseline through a change control process. Ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals, identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements and provide status on a periodic basis and associated risk/issues/mitigation reporting. Serve as advisor to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary. Responsible for business/client relationships with senior business leaders. Provide status, risk/issues reporting. Responsible for changes to requirements and baseline through change control process. Drive engineering effort with product development-based Mindset, optimized server resources utilization, and EAP Reengineering for optimal storage, applying industry standard design patterns and requirements, and drive timely implementation. Supervising: One (1) Applications Development Programmer Analyst; (2) Applications Development Technical Lead Analysts. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policy.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field, and seven (7) plus years of experience in the role offered, as a Software Developer or in a related role. Seven (7) years of experience must include enterprise software development skills and corresponding tools usage in each of the following: Building enterprise-level application software using Big Data platform tools including, Hive, oozie, sqoop and Apache Spark, Kafka, Scala, and Python; Maintaining audit and metadata entries in RDBMS; Preparing high level detailed architecture diagrams; Using ORAAS (Oracle), JDBC, Spring MVC, and ExtJS; Identifying change/enhancement required for impacted module and documenting change in JIRA; Performing data quality (DQ) checks on data being acquired for record counts against control files, integrity and business checks; and Preparing test plans and application guides for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
