Job Description:Application System Technical Analyst-Senior is responsiblefor providing analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementationand support (technical and functional) of administrative, financial,or clinical information systems. Senior-level professional experienced in allaspects of healthcare related information systems. Encompasses full knowledgerequired within the configuration, installation, design, testing,implementation and maintenance of administrative, financial, or clinicalinformation systems. Typically designs and develops approaches that areimplemented by others. Is able to function with minimal oversight anddirection. Provides technical guidance to peers.
Analyzes and documents user requirements, procedures, and problems toautomate orimprove existing systems. Reviews system capabilities,workflow, and scheduling limitations.Documents workflows, configure and/or build activities, changemanagement adherence, end user notifications, training information andstatus reporting in the appropriate system.Develops, documents and revises system design procedures, testprocedures, and quality standards.Expands or modifies system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.Coordinates and links the application within an organization to increasecompatibility for information sharing.Reviews and analyzes the system and performance indicators to locateproblems, and correct errors. Escalates problems and issues to appropriatestaff to ensure timely resolution.Manages small to medium application projects. Manages projects, schedulesand facilitates meetings as necessary to complete assignments.Mentors Application Analysts to improve their skills and prepare them for moreresponsibility. Serves as a technical expert in the assigned applications forusers, other team members, vendors and management. Serves as the subjectmatter expert in the assigned applications for system design and workflowmodifications.Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredEpic Certification for the area in which you support (in primaryapplication) is required within 9months of date of hire or position transferrequired Obtaining additional Proficiency or Certification related to assignedmodules may be required based on department's operational need and atmanager discretionThree (3) years of experience in healthcare, technology or related fieldis required
PreferredPrevious work experience as a high level/super user preferredTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements list must be representative ofthe knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure,experience, and/or ability required.
