Job Description
Elavon (Elavon is a part of the U.S. Bank family) is seeking the position of Application Architect in Minneapolis, MN.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Application Architect is responsible for utilizing technical design and architecture experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. This role is responsible for the design and architecture of application systems. In addition, this position develops the application's architecture and blueprints on which functional and non-functional requirements can be met.
Specific duties include: (1) review developer technical designs; (2) translate user requirements to technical requirements; (3) design application's technical infrastructure, such as application components, platforms, interfaces, development tools, and testing approaches; (4) possess broad knowledge of platforms and applications across all technologies; (5) convert specifications into design approach instructions to solve business problems through automation support; (6) monitor and maintain compliance with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Standards, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning; (7) participate in evaluation of vendor products to determine conformance with bank technical standards and appropriate fit with business needs; (8) work with Azure/AWS/ Cloud Integrations and upgrades; (9) utilize experience with APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Java; (10) implement system design and full life cycle development; (11) monitoring system performance to detect and resolve problems during deployment and support change management; (12) work with AWS Cloud, Kubernetes and Docker; (13) utilize system testing experience; and (14) implement Agile Scrum methodology.

Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or, Information Technology and Engineering and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) Implementing Agile Scrum methodology; (2) monitoring and maintaining compliance with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Standards, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning; (3) monitoring system performance to detect and resolve problems during deployment and support change management; (4) implementing system design and full life cycle development, and utilizing experience with APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Java; and (5) working with AWS Cloud, Kubernetes and Docker.
