  Responsibilities

  What You Will Do

  In collaboration with a physician, you will admit and cross cover critical care units on nights from 7p-7a. Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Document all notes in the EMR.

  Perform bedside procedures including endotracheal intubation, arterial lines, central lines, etc. with physician supervision.

  Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate patient care.

  Complete walking rounds to address bedside nursing care needs.

  Maintain appropriate certifications applicable to the management of critically ill patients, i.e. ENLS, ABLS, ATLS, ECMO, etc.

  Attend educational sessions as possible.

  Provide direct feedback to the physician director.

  Requirements

  Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  Required:

  BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  One or more of the following required:

  Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

  Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

  Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

  Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

  Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

  Education:
