Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining files, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This position requires a strong understanding of SAP and accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, including matching to purchase orders, verifying payment authorization, assigning budgetary accounts, and entering data into the SAP system.

Maintain all files associated with accounts payable and prepare reports as directed.

Follow proper three-way match procedures to protect company assets.

Process invoices, expense reports, and other charges for assigned locations.

Verify payment authorization and appropriate signatures on invoices.

Generate checks, attach invoices, mail payments, and file company records.

Maintain vendor relationships by promptly responding to issues.

Resolve invoice issues by coordinating with purchasing or directly with suppliers.

Respond to calls regarding payable issues and resolve them in a timely manner.

Contribute to audit readiness by maintaining accessible documentation and accurate records.

Maintain supplier data information in the selected data system.

Enter invoice information into the software program, assigning to proper budgetary and vendor accounts.

Prepare regular, periodic, and special accounting reports as requested.

Essential Skills

Experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.

Proficiency with SAP, specifically in accounts payable.

Strong understanding of financial processes including purchase orders and invoicing.

Ability to handle full cycle accounts payable.

Excellent communication skills for vendor relations.

Additional Skills Qualifications

2-3 years of SAP experience (AP, not AR).

Experience with heavy invoicing

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00
