Essential Functions

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities

As an Animal Caretaker, you will:

Ensuring cleanliness by maintaining cages, runs, and shelter equipment in compliance with state regulations.

Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and well-being of shelter animals.

Administering vaccinations, medications, and diagnostic tests as needed.

Assisting with or performing euthanasia when necessary, following shelter protocol.

Transporting animals to veterinarians, events, and other locations.

Handling janitorial and grounds maintenance tasks to keep the shelter in top shape.

Supporting public interactions by assisting with inquiries and processing paperwork.

Typical Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years

Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
