Seeking an Animal Handler who is interested working with Small Animals!

　　Excellent opportunity to work hands on with animals - 1st Shift - Pay: $20/hr.

　　Animal Husbandry Duties:

　　Observing the physical condition of mice, rats and other lab animals for signs of disease or illness

　　Checking food and water levels for each animal. Adding more if needed.

　　Ensuring animals are housed in an environment that meets institution and department standards for cleanliness.

　　Document daily room check sheets and perform weekly or bi-weekly change outs.

　　House (new) incoming animals

　　Operating cage washers, autoclaves and bedding disposal equipment

　　Assembling clean caging to be used in animal rooms for change outs

　　Skills:

　　animal husbandry, Husbandry, Animal science, Animal handling, Zoology

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Must have a high school diploma

　　6+ months of experience within animal care (husbandry, animal handling, etc.)
