Job Description: Role is to migrate, modernize, and expand existing Excel/Tableau healthcare claims reports into PowerBI. Perform as an individual contributor as a part of broader analytics and reporting team by querying a variety of data sources, wrangling data, and building visually appealing dashboards and reports to identify insights and opportunities. Write effective and efficient code both independently and under the guidance of project managers using best practice quality control procedures. Organize and present communications to suit the needs and understanding of the audience Required Basic Qualifications: Experience handling terabyte size healthcare claims datasets, diving into data to Client hidden patterns, using data visualization tools Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python, ability to work in variety of programming languages o Experience building PowerBI data models (Power BI (data design, data flow, building dashboards & reports), deep knowledge of best practices, relational databases, pros/cons of various data storage methods Advanced proficiency in MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio Demonstrated experience performing statistical analysis and presenting results on healthcare claims data Experience with extracting data from Enterprise Data Warehouses and Enterprise Data Lakes Undergraduate degree in highly quantitative field, such as statistics, business analytics or computer science Desired skills: Experience with DAX and M coding Experience with medical claims/utilization trend reporting Understanding of actuarial concepts, including IBNR.
