Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is looking to hire an Aircraft Quality Assurance/Inspector for ALMAT who will support the 1st MAW’s (Marine Aircraft Wing) ALMAT inspections team while performing assessment and inspections across the Aviation Combat Element of the III Marine Expeditionary Force.
The Maintenance Assessment Team is a critical element to ensuring maximum readiness of assets and personnel through the assessment, training, and enforcement of all applicable instructions and standards, such as the Commander Naval Air Forces Instruction (COMNAVAIRFORINST) 4790.2 series, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).
This position will be employed and stationed on Okinawa, Japan.
Overall, this position will integrate as a key member on our assessment/inspection team conducting maintenance assessments on Intermediate and Organizational unit Naval Aviation Maintenance Programs (NAMP)/Area and conduct Material Condition Inspections (MCI) on aircraft, in accordance with the NAMP.
The Aircraft Quality Assurance/Inspector will work with the MAT and perform assessments/evaluations on individual Unit’s in response to drills and practical application evaluations (F-35B, FA-18D, KC-130J, CH-53E, AH-1Z, UH-1Y, MV-22B, and RQ-21A).
The Aircraft Quality Assurance/Inspector will assess the unit’s procedural adherence and responsiveness to emergency drills and practical application evaluations and provide program related training to new members of the 1st MAW MAT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Review all Computerize Self Evaluation Checklists (CSEC) and track assessment results/data.
Validate Navy Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) hardware and software version/configuration and create inspections customized queries from the application database tables.
Prepare training aids/material to be used during the assessment as well as in-brief slides.
Review Advanced Skills Management (ASM) for qualifications.
Train (OJT) new members of the USG MAT on inspection techniques and provide program training.
Utilize the CSEC, evaluate NAMP program/areas and processes for compliance with policies and procedures.
Document areas of deficiency in NAMP compliance and assist in performance improvement.
Review safety of flight and safety of personnel Maintenance Program Assessment (MPA) corrective actions to ensure compliance with references and identified deficiencies.
Conduct drills and practical evaluations to assess a unit’s ability to accurately complete tasks correctly, respond to emergent situations, and adhere to safety precautions.
Evaluate the material condition and readiness of assigned aircraft by conducting Material Condition Inspections (MCI’s), in accordance with the NAMP.
Review system printouts, program analysis reports, and functional specifications; document problems; and recommend corrective actions.
Support the assessed units in completing necessary Corrective Actions Plans (CAP).
Utilize Microsoft computer products and other computer software/systems to develop schedules and reports as required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Must Have: Prior Service in the U.S. Marine Corps or Navy (applicable MOS: 6004, 6012, 6018, 6019, 6046, 6047, 605x, 615x, 625x, 601x, 611x, 621x)
Must Have: 4 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or Maintenance/Production Control Manager performing Intermediate or Organization work center and program assessments.
Must Have: 6 years’ experience performing duties in support of aviation maintenance, aviation ground/support shop operations and/or logistics.
Must Be: Highly familiar and proficient with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.
Must Have: Experience performing Navy or Marine Corps aviation unit inspections.
Must Have: Knowledgeable and proficient with the Computerized Self Evaluation Checklist (CSEC).
Education / Certifications
Must have at least a High School Diploma
MAG will highly consider candidates that have United States Navy Production Control, Maintenance Control, or Quality Assurance Supervisor Course completion in their background – though this is NOT a required certification
Clearance:
SECRET: Candidate does NOT have to have a SECRET Clearance at the time of hire, but must have the background and ability to obtain one as this position might require one in the futureOther Qualifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport
Clear Dental and Medical screening and be signed off to be fit for duty/deployment
Clear a criminal background check
Must be able to obtain and maintain a work Visa for foreign countries
Provide valid U.S. Driver’s License and must be able to obtain and maintain an International Driver’s License
Provide a DD-214
Provide all relevant certificates of training relevant to MOS and/or ALMAT
