Position Summary
As an Aircraft Painter you will be responsible for preparing the aircraft for painting and finishing. This involves cleaning the surfaces and individual parts but also applying paint and epoxy and other materials to the aircraft. You will use your knowledge of various techniques, including masking and sanding the surfaces, to ensure it is completed perfectly. Our Aircraft Painter team is also taking care of repairing previous paint jobs using color-matching software, touch-up paints and finishes.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain a professional and personal ownership of working standards, personal presentation and tidiness of your own immediate working area and the surrounding area for the greater company team
Work within teams / individually in such a manner to ensure proper delivery expectations and quality
Mix and apply primers / top coats i.a.w different paint manufacture technical data sheets
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Responsible for cleaning equipment and report damage equipment
Perform work within estimated hours
Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner. E.g. Man lift, Cherry Picker, Scaffolding
Perform other duties as assigned and required by his/her superior and coordinate with his/her superior
Comply with Paint Shop standards , safety procedures and specifications
Comply with Company JBSL Part 145 approval,JBSL safety policy,customer request and other airworthiness requirments
Report unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk
Use material requisition system, track squawks, and sign off completed work
Reads and write work procedures in English
Additional Main Responsibilities
Perform prolonged standing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands
Prepare stencils, lettering blocks and apply letters, decals, and insignias to aircraft
Perform paint repairs/polishing and touch-ups
Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old paint using paint removers or abrasives
Work flexible hours (shifts and weekends)

Adhere to all EHS policy and procedures
Report EHS hazards, incidents and injuries. Be familiar with emergency instructions
Comply with the EHS rules (work instructions, personal protective equipment...)
Minimum Requirements
General knowledge of paint preparation, paint mixing and paint application processes
Minimum 3 years experiences with prepping, masking and general paint refinishing background on aircraft or automobiles/trainsrequired. Non-aircraft experience can be evaluated
Basic computer skills
Apprenticeship Certificate/Diploma
Knowledge on paint related products and Manufactures
German, and/or French would be an advantage
Education on technical courses is an advantage
