Join DanvilleState Hospital in this extremely important work providing care for Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens.DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe Aide Trainee will attend training sessions designed to teach employees how to care for and support consumers in a mental health treatment setting. Training will consist of paid classroom and on the job training in an actual resident setting. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period, the Aide Trainee will be promoted to a Psychiatric Aide (PA) with responsibility for the full scope of care and support to consumers living at the facility. Promotion to the PA job title includes an increase in the hourly pay rate for the position.
