Need 4 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag Equipment Operators to work in Truman, MN. From: 02/15/2024 to 12/15/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, cultivator, planter, rotary hoe, harrow, ripper, mower and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, replace/maintain tires, service (check fluids), replace wear items and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Clean grain bins. Install field drainage tile. Pick rocks from field, clear trees for crop land using excavator, backhoe, skid loader, along with picking up sticks and having the ability to run chainsaw. Hand weeding of organic crops. Maintaining farm building sites, weed whipping, mowing, tree trimming. Crops: Corn, soybeans, peas, hay JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Able to perform work that requires: exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
