AED Specialist/Coordinator
The AED Specialist/Coordinator is a management level position that will be responsible for the ordering, issuing, maintaining and overall management of the AED program for the client. This Specialist position will directly interface with equipment vendors for the servicing of defective or malfunctioning equipment and manage routine reviews and spot checks of all currently issued AED devices across all client locations in the US. This Specialist will also directly interface with CPR/AED training providers for the purpose of coordinating AED training for the client’s employee base.
Scope of Work:
Based in Pittsburgh but manages AEDs across all US-based locations for the client.
This position is not a hybrid or WFH position.
Manage/Review/Rebuild a comprehensive and thorough AED program for the client.
Coordinate with medical equipment vendors.
Coordinate with AED/CPR training providers.
Keep up to date tracking of client locations for AED training schedules.
May be required to provide AED training in group settings or one-on-one basis.
May be required to provide AED/CPR training for other security and client staff.
Manage and track AED shipments to client locations.
Conduct monthly inspections of all issued AED equipment, either first-hand or through coordinating with local contacts.
Update and track all issued AEDs.
Keep up to date excel and word documents in an organized filing fashion, in the event of audits or recalls.
Order new and replacement equipment as needed.
Travel to other locations to check on AEDs locally as needed if no on-site contact can be coordinated with.
Interfacing directly with client regional managers to keep them up to date with the status of AEDs and training for their locations.
Reporting directly to the National Account Manager for any issues, concerns, and providing status updates on the progress and maintenance of the AED program.
Qualifications:
Well-motivated.
CPR/AED training certification.
Comprehensive background working with AEDs.
Excellent customer service skills.
General knowledge of business practices through either prior management experience or similar roles.
Willingness to travel to other locations in cities and states outside Pittsburgh as needed.
Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in PC operations.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
A Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed, which could include evenings and weekends.
A willingness to answer calls and emails after hours and on weekends if necessary.
Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
