  KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern to join our Technology Risk practice in our Consulting group.

  Responsibilities:

  Assist in planning and executing activities related to risk, control, compliance and internal audit client engagements in the following areas: IT strategy and governance, digital enablement, IT operations, network and infrastructure security, cybersecurity, cloud and third parties, data management and analytics, emerging technology, automation (robotics, cognitive), IT and transformation programs and projects, business continuity and disaster recovery application controls and regulatory/compliance requirements

  Review clients IT processes, risk, controls and compliance against leading practice, industry, or client frameworks, identify gaps in design and execution and communicate issues and recommendations to engagement leads and client project manager

  Work with client project manager to assist in assessing, designing and implementation new IT risk and control frameworks, sustainable solutions (including applying knowledge of governance, risk and compliance tools), operating processes and people models to address key and evolving risks, as necessary

  Draft comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for delivery to client project manager and document and review engagement workpapers in accordance with KPMG requirements and common industry practice for internal audit and risk consulting client engagements

  Assist in kickoff, status and closing meetings with engagement team and client and contribute to related KPMG knowledge bases and internal practice development initiatives

  Identify, develop and communicate findings and recommendations to key team and client leadership

  Qualifications:

  Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent program

  Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above

  General understanding of business processes and technology, as well as data analysis techniques

  Demonstrated interest and aptitude for technology including cloud, cyber security, compliance and digital enablement, demonstrated client service mindset, critical thinking and quantitative skills

  Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

  Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership

  Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
