Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic Advanced Quality Planner/Advisor to join Navistar Inc.'s Quality Organization. In this pivotal role, the individual will take on a comprehensive range of responsibilities encompassing planning and quality demand pooling activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams and formulate strategies for transparent and timely communication of quality requirements to Corporate Planning Functions.
The Advanced Planner/Advisor will play a key role in interfacing with both internal and external functions, with a primary focus on developing, prioritizing and communicating quality demands during product planning and concept development phases. Leadership skills are crucial as the candidate will be responsible for managing individuals leading cross-functional teams dedicated to delivering top-notch products or services. Moreover, effective communication of quality strategies to executive management and designated planning/project committees is essential.
We are looking for a candidate with a proficiency in developing, defining, and executing plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables that align seamlessly with annual corporate planning activities. Responsibilities
Leads/Manages the development & communication of annual quality needs/demands to corporate planning functions at Navistar Inc.
Ability to utilize structured approach in an ambiguous environment to drive clear strategies and plans
Conduct sophisticated/high impact analysis in order to support data driven recommendations.
Prepare executive presentations to gain alignment, communicate effectively inside and outside the Organization.
Work with Quality Leadership Team to identify & develop risk-based improvement charters
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop and implement new methods, processes and tools, as required to support quality inputs into strategy/planning phases
Develops departmental plans, including business, product, production and/or organizational priorities.
Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to the appropriate quality functional flow leaders.
Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
Requires the ability to persuade, or gain approval from, others in sensitive situations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 10 years of technical project/program management experience
At least 4 years of management experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 8 years of technical project/program management experience
At least 4 years of management experience
OR
At least 12 years of technical project/program management experience
At least 4 years of management experience
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Design / Validation experience in New Product Development a plus
Process definition including Process / Value Stream Mapping experience
Prior Quality / Customer Experience
Automotive knowledge (basic understanding of ICE and EV powertrain, vehicle systems, ADAS systems, technology/industry roadmaps)
