Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for the Inpatient GYN Service (Nights) to provide comprehensive care to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.

Hours: 4, 10 hour shifts weeknights (Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri)

please note there is potential to switch to 12 hour shifts but not guaranteed

We Are: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

The department of surgery is looking for an APP to p rovide comprehensive clinical care to our GYN surgical inpatients, evaluate patients in the UCC with gynecologic malignancies and benign gynecologic conditions, provide benign and surgical gynecologic consults for inpatients and document brief pre-operative notes for patients scheduled for surgery and maintain active database

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members• Provide comprehensive care to Inpatient GYN surgical and benign patients• Meet the medical needs of patients• Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuumQualifications needed for a PA candidate are:

Graduate from an accredited PA program• NCCPA certification• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure• A minimum of 2 years of GYN experience as an APP is preferredQualifications needed for an NP candidate are:

Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations• Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)• 2+ years of experience in a GYN enviornment• Related National NP certification

Pay Range$136,000-180,000K
