Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000.00.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, workexperience, certification, etc.A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is basedupon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal WorkAct. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, andcertifications as compared to others doing substantially similar work. Responsibilities
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and recordspatient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.Performs procedures and /mentors trains other providersAssesses patient/family needs and provides education.Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient andfamily needs.Consistently incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.In-depth knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timelyfashion.Often provides case management for patients and their families.Often serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information beingstudied in clinical trials.Provides palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.As subject matter expert, promotes/provides staff educationResponsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend orafter-hours callsServes as subject matter expert to the community, providing education andresources as neededLikely to supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.May serve in practice or network-wide APP leadership roleMay precept APP studentsMentors new advanced practice providers.Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accreditednursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner rogram.This position typically requires a minimum of one year of experience as apracticing Nurse Practitioner and 3-5 years in either in-patient or ambulatoryoncology setting.RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing inpracticing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.AOCNP preferred.Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.ORPhysician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited PhysicianAssistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification ofPhysician Assistants) certification.This position requires at least one year of experience in either a criticalcare environment, internal medicine, or oncology. Current state licenseas a Physician Assistant in practicing state.Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
