Honeywell Aerospace is on the cutting edge of technology in turbine engine development. Using your technical expertise, you will develop processes for coating new parts, design tooling to support these processes, and lead a successful launch of new parts into production. You will add value and expertise to the Greer Manufacturing Site by identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Interface with customers to understand performance and qualification requirements
Support new pursuits by providing technical input and cost assumptions.
Lead development and qualification runs for new parts with aluminide and platinum aluminide coating processes.
Use technology such as blue light scanning, 3D modeling and additive manufacturing to enable qualification speed.
Generate process improvement ideas for bond coat to increase process capability, reduce cost, decrease cycle time, and increase competitiveness.
Create and maintain process work instructions.
Develop tooling for processes and manage tooling orders through the procurement process.
Lead capital projects necessary to support capacity expansion and new technology
Regularly interface with operations and factory personnel to incorporate feedback into new processes and tooling.
MUST HAVE
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Must be a US citizen due to contractual requirements.
10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar experience
WE VALUE
Greenbelt/DFSS certified
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Engineering (Chemical or Materials Science preferred)
Experience in aluminide and platinum aluminide coatings
Ability to work independently
Willingness to learn new technologies
Manufacturing Engineering experience
Basic knowledge of chemical processes
Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work
Proficient project management skills
Good knowledge of mechanical industry
Cause identification/FMEA experience
Working knowledge of SAP/HOS
