About Admissions and Records

Description We are in search of an Admissions and Records professional to join our dynamic team in the higher education sector in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be instrumental in maintaining the smooth operations within our Admissions Records department. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality production aligned with our departmental goals, developing a broad understanding of our key workflows, cross-training on workflows outside your primary area, and providing exceptional support to our learners and internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the regular maintenance of daily and weekly target goals for the Admissions Records department.

• Engage in non-production activities that support the department's goals in maintaining same-day and next-day Service Level Agreements (SLAs), improving cycle times, and ensuring consistent, high-quality production.

• Handle escalations and resolve individual applicant and learner experience issues while identifying and addressing systematic problems.

• Support training needs within the department as a subject matter/content expert or trainer, in partnership with key stakeholders within and outside of the Admissions Records department.

• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, stabilize production, and optimize the applicant, learner, and staff experience.

• Engage in quality assurance activities intended to allow for the systematic identification and resolution of process defects as well as the improvement of individual performance.

• Maintain key knowledge management systems and content, including job aids for Admissions Records staff and process-related documentation for partner teams.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on department and enterprise teams and initiatives.

• Engage in ongoing professional development tied to areas of non-production focus such as problem-solving and continuous improvement, leadership development, training, operations management, data analytics, and reporting.

• Develop technical/functional skills, including deep knowledge of Campus Solutions (CS), Salesforce, Perceptive Content, and others.

• Proficiently use Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Outlook.

• Review and process documents as part of the overall document review process. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook to manage communication and scheduling

• Proficiency in data entry for accurate record-keeping and database management

• Demonstrated experience in the review process for effective decision-making

• Document review skills to ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional policies

• Experience in conducting reviews to ensure quality assurance

• Relevant experience in the higher education industry, specifically in admissions and records

• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines

• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff

• Knowledge of higher education systems and processes would be advantageous

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in all tasks

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
