If you join the M365 Core Design Studio, you will help contribute to this mission by designing world-class AI and cloud-driven experiences across M365 apps that empower our diverse and global enterprise user base. This work involves building upon classic interaction design as well as pioneering new ways to interact with product through AI. You will help to deliver deep customer value across M365 products inclusive of Windows, Edge, Copilot and our core productivity suite. As a Senior Designer, you will help in envisioning and executing product direction in your area. You will use your passion, professionalism, and creativity to create unique, fresh, and innovative product solutions across our product suite. You are someone who thrives in cross-discipline partnerships, truly values the importance of cooperation, and can work across multiple virtual teams to create compelling product experiences. You are comfortable working in an emerging and agile product landscape, using your design, communication, and critical-thinking skills to carve out clarity and deliver world-class human-centric products. 

Responsibilities

Deliver world-class interaction designs end-to-end from incubation through to shipping product. 

Help organize and drive design collaboration (sprints, ideations, brainstorms) with cross-discipline partners (PM, Engineering, Research and Data Science).  

Collaborate with Design and Engineering partners to align and deliver a crafted product vision end-to-end.  

Create clarity and generate energy for your product and product teams through powerful storytelling. 

Mentor and develop junior designers, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers.  

Stay current on design trends, technologies, and tools, and incorporate them into the design team's work as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design

OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design

OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).

5+ years of hands-on interaction design experience for large-scale product, including experience with information architecture, interaction design, UX/UI, user research, and usability testing.   

Expertise in creating a variety of interaction design documents such as; storyboarding, wireframing, design specifications and redlines, user scenarios, task flows, conceptual models, competitor analysis, heuristic analysis. 

Proficiency in creating high-craft presentations and communication with senior audiences.   

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess the ability to think conceptually about design and information architecture.   

Understand the array of technical constraints, user goals and business requirements that shape current and future products.   

Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills that drive compelling conversations and clear presentations. Fluent in English.   

Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.  

Ability to self-motivate under constant deadline constraints.   

Ability to prototype design concepts in a variety of tools. 

Knowledge of current web tech (React, JS, HTML, CSS etc.)  

Experience designing for AI or LLM’s.
