The City of Columbia is seeking an individual who understands and appreciates both external and internal customers and can excel in a high volume, deadline driven, collaborative team environment. The work in this position involves providing customer service to employees, the public, and Human Resources staff. There are a variety of responsibilities related to new employee orientation, purchasing, scheduling appointments; and filing. The ideal candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent( post-secondary coursework in business administration or similar field preferred) and three years of clerical experience.
The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to assigned City department, including clerical, receptionist, customer service, and financial administration duties.
