Busy healthcare practice is seeking a reliable, independent-working,motivated person to serve as office administrator and entry-point ofcontact for patients. JOB SUMMARY: Provides professional administrativesupport. Greets patients and visitors, performs check-in/check-out,schedules appointments, obtains patient information and records it inelectronic medical records. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcomes patients tothe practice; serves as primary point of contact for patients and theirfamilies. Schedule appointments in person, by phone or by email. Patientcheck-in/check-out procedures. Invoicing of diagnostic procedures anditem sales. Collect payments or co-pays when applicable. Maintain officeinventory. Act as liaison between clinical staff and patients. Verifypatient benefits when applicable. Perform other duties as assigned.Attends required meetings and participates in team activities andprofessional development activities. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diplomaor equivalent. Minimum one year clerical experience in a medical officeenvironment. Ability to multi-task and job-share when necessary. Abilityto communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in an effectivemanner. Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medicalrecord system. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Health care experience a plusComfort with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Proficient at learningnew office management systems. INTERACTIONS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Mustpossess the ability to interact and communicate professional andeffectively with all levels of internal personnel, providers, personnelof outside organizations, and patients and their family members. Mustpossess good organizational skills, handle multiple tasks concurrently,and be able to work effectively with aforementioned groups.
