Eliot's Division of Children, Youth and Family is seeking an Assistant Director of Residential Services. This Division supports children referred by the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Youth Services. Our ideal candidate will have experience managing systems of care for children, youth and families, As well as a history of implementing and monitoring evidence-based treatment through trauma informed care and interventions.
Responsibilities:
Supervise general operations of programs, ensuring service delivery is optimal and in compliance within contractual requirements.
Train in identified evidence-based treatment models and ensure identified models are effectively practiced throughout programming and within a trauma informed milieu.
Collaborate with the division’s Quality Assurance department to coordinate, create, implement and monitor program development, licensing regulations, contract compliance, effective service delivery and outcomes.
Become a “Train the Trainer” and certified instructor in identified training areas and provide training as needed.
Pursue continuous improvement in program operation and service delivery through formal and informal program assessment, evaluation and strategic planning.
Supervise Program Directors. provide Professional Development Plans and Professional Development Opportunities for assigned division personnel.
Meet with the assigned Division Director weekly to formally update on identified areas of risk and plan accordingly for the division's needs.
Oversee start up for children, youth and family’s programs including siting a facility, hiring and training staff, preparing and furnishing the facility, coordinating intake of youth, developing systems for supervision and monitoring, developing policies, procedures and protocols for operations, coordinating and implementing all programming.
Serve as point person in the absence of a program’s director.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience, at least three years in either management or administrative capacity in residential programming .
Knowledge of DYS, juvenile justice, DCF, EEC, and behavioral health needs and services.
Experience managing systems of care for children, youth and families. History of implementing and monitoring evidence-based treatment through trauma informed care and interventions.
Knowledge of residential policies, regulations and compliance related items.
Ability to effectively and professionally interact and work collaboratively with funding and licensing sources, families, collaterals and collaborators.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing requirements. Must have a reliable telephone notification system for emergency contact.
Experience in program and staff development, program monitoring and training.
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with funding and licensing sources, community groups, collaterals, service providers families and ECHS staff.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
