　　How you make a difference

　　The Activity Therapistis responsible forcreating and delivering enjoyable and therapeutic activities that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of patients in a safe and comfortable environment. Working with minimal supervision, they use their creativity to plan and implement activities that are tailored to each patient's needs and conditions. The Activity Therapist'sultimate goalis to provide all patients with meaningful and rewarding activities that support their treatment and recovery.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Providesrecreational resources and opportunities to improve patients' health and well-being.

　　Collaborates with administrative and medical staff todetermineactivity goals and evaluates patients through observation and interviews, documentingprogressand treatment in reports.

　　Identifiesactivity needs andparticipatesin in-service training, continuously developing skills.

　　Leads group sessions to teach alternative coping skills, overcoming environmental, physical, or emotional barriers.

　　Communicates effectively with all patients, medical, nursing, and staff members, and tactfully deals with the public.

　　Qualifications & Requirements

　　Education

　　High School Diploma/GED required.

　　Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services, Physical Education or other related fields highly preferred.

　　Experience

　　At least one (1) year experience planning and implementing activities to treat or maintain the physical, mental, or emotional wellbeing of clients.

　　Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

　　Ability to express thoughts logically, in English, in both written and verbal form.

　　Ability to use computers and the typical software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and various database systems.
