　　Position Summary:This General Accounting position involves various accounting functions related to supporting operational plants.  Applies principles of accounting to analyze a variety of financial information of moderate scope and complexity and prepares financial reports.  Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, transactions, systems, and processes.

　　This position reports to the Accounting ManagerThe scope of this position requires working with operational units, and plant staff in ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures while maintaning accounting controls and oversees the activities of Accounts Payable and Payroll.

　　*Develop internal and administer external accounting practices and procedures in a way to ensure the timely and accurate collection of financial data, along with the proper accounting processing thereof.*Responsible for the preparation of internal and external accounting reports required by the Corporation or requested for internal use.*Provide timely and accurate accounting data to Division Management for use in planning and forecasting, variance analysis and review, budgeting, and special reporting requests.*Direct subordinate personnel and their daily activities to enable them to provide assistance to the Accounting Supervisor and all interfacing personnel.*Oversee Accounts Payable Team*Oversee Intercompany transactions*Ensures Suppliers are paid timely*Maintain Fixed Assets and capital accounts*Process and oversee Payroll including month-end accruals*Responsible for month-end journal entries and account reconciliations*Maintain financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls*Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems

　　*Bachelors degree in Accounting*Two to seven years accounting experience preferred*Good knowledge of all aspects of general accounting*Excellent written and verbal communication skills*Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excell, Access, Word) and Power BI*Ability to handle many tasks at a given time and work effectively with others in a team environment*The above is not intended to be an all inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.  It is intended to describe the general nature of the position
