Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team located in Mclean, Virginia. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing credit applications, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process customer credit applications and manage cash applications including ACH.
• Regularly monitor customer accounts and implement appropriate actions such as setting up payment plans for past-due payments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other teams to address invoice-related questions and review invoices before sending them to customers.
• Efficiently process credit card payments and maintain a record of approved invoices.
• Generate invoices from purchase orders and handle customer setup tasks as required.
• Utilize accounting software systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel to manage accounting functions and billing procedures.
• Ensure all customer inquiry responses are maintained and organized for easy access.
• Handle the filing of forms for end-of-month processing activities. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar financial position
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with CRM systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, particularly Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Billing Functions and Cash Activity management
• Proven skill in Check Processing and Cash Applications
• Experience in handling Approved Invoices
• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel for financial tasks
• Experience in managing Cash Payments
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
