Description We are currently seeking Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk candidates who are self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Round Rock, Texas area. Robert Half is filling a job opening for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk, to join the accounting team at a growing Business services company. We are looking for candidates ready to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. A strong candidate for this job will be looking for career growth potential, and be capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

　　Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization

　　Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers

　　Verify codes and documents

　　Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

　　Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

　　Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

　　Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred

　　Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

　　Knowledgeable of ERP systems

　　2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

　　Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

　　Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience

　　Comprehensive knowledge of cash applications

　　Strong familiarity with cash posting

　　Well-founded grasp of Lock Box

　　Proven knowledge of Lock Box

　　Great Plains (GPAC) experience preferred

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
