Description

　　This company is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to grow with them. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role is a permanent position in the Watervliet, New York area. You might be a good fit for this position if you can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization

　　Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures

　　Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

　　Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required

　　Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts

　　Verify the correctness of documents and codes

　　Handle monthly closings and annual reports, including processing payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP

　　Requirements - Relevant experience in accounts receivable

　　Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

　　Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

　　Be detailed, flexible, and organized

　　Current and relevant ERP system experience

　　Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
