Description

　　We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at an established Office Supply company in town. This role involves managing various aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, and maintaining financial records. The position is contract-to-hire with potential for permanent placement.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Check and Invoice Organization:

　　Organize checks received from drivers in alphabetical order by company name.

　　Organize morning invoices, including running credit cards for Will Call orders and Cash on Delivery.

　　Payment Processing:

　　Process checks from daily mail into the company's bank account.

　　Verify credit card payments for the previous day, ensuring accurate reporting and posting in the General Ledger.

　　COD Payment Verification:

　　Check for invoices emailed and confirm receipt of payment for Cash on Delivery orders.

　　Credit Card Payment Handling:

　　Run credit card payments by BILL TO when possible.

　　Obtain authorization for credit card payments, ensuring accurate documentation on invoices.

　　Handle declined transactions by making notes for follow-up with the client.

　　Sales Tax and Accounts Payable:

　　Assist in Sales Tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

　　Intermediate experience in Accounts Payable preferred for comprehensive understanding.

　　Communication and Customer Interaction:

　　Contact customers with declined transactions, leaving detailed messages referencing relevant information.

　　Collaborate with the Controller on invoices requiring additional review.

　　Qualifications:

　　Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related field.

　　Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

　　Familiarity with credit card payment processing and authorization.

　　Knowledge of sales tax filings is a plus.

　　Excellent communication skills for customer interactions.

　　Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

　　Contract-to-Hire:

　　The position is initially offered on a contract basis with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and mutual agreement.
