Description At Robert Half, there's a terrific opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join a dynamic, up-and-coming organization. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Rockford, Illinois area.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

　　Verify documents and codes

　　Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

　　Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

　　Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment

　　Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

　　Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

　　Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers Requirements - 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

　　Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

　　High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Billing Collection

　　Experience with ERP systems

　　Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
