Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the real estate property/facilities management industry based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is critical to our team, focusing on full cycle accounts payable tasks such as data entry, account coding, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process credit applications from customers

• Maintain detailed and precise customer credit records

• Respond to and resolve any customer inquiries

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required

• Perform 3 way matching to ensure accuracy of invoices

• Conduct account coding for correct allocation of expenses

• Execute journal entries for recording transactions

• Handle batch processing for bulk transactions

• Carry out account reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Yardi software for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry

• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions

• Familiarity with Yardi property management software

• Knowledge of 3 Way Matching, Batching, and Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work output

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance would be an asset.
