Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in Los Gatos, California. The successful candidate will be part of our accounting department and will be responsible for managing and executing various Accounts Payable tasks. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of accounts payable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Great Plains, IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for various accounting functions.

• Regularly use Microsoft Excel to maintain and update financial records and data.

• Engage in check processing and data entry to maintain financial information and records.

• Handle discrepancies in accounts payable and resolve them in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure all financial deadlines are met.

• Monitor and manage all expenses and cost to ensure they are recorded accurately.

• Maintain and update the financial database, ensuring the security of all financial information.

• Regularly review all financial procedures and update them as necessary.

• Participate in financial audits and implement the recommendations made by auditors. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is a plus

• Competency in using IBM AS/400 is required

• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a must

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Accounting Functions is important

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Experience in Check Processing is necessary

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently

• Skills to handle and resolve Discrepancies is crucial.
