Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Accounts Payable position for a great Carson City based Accounting team. This position reports to an Accounting Manager who is engaged, people development oriented, and a super nice guy to work for. The role sits on a team that collaborates well, and is high functioning. There is great opportunity for growth as well - starting in a full cycle Accounts Payable position (match, batch, code and check runs) where you learn the company and technology, but lots of opportunity for creating efficiencies and automating processes through their new system. Over time, the person in this role would have the opportunity to grow on the team to a leader of the AP function, or into a general accounting role. Candidates looking to work with a dynamic organization with a growing team will be interested in this Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position, where they will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Operate full-cycle A/P

　　Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

　　Provide support during internal and external audits

　　Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

　　Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

　　Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

　　Requirements

　　3+ years of experience in an A/P role required

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

　　Check Runs experience

　　Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

　　3 Way Matching experience

　　Strong organization skills

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred but not required
