Description

We are currently offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk role in the construction/contractor industry, based in Ringgold, Georgia. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be primarily handling customer applications, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries. Your role will involve a significant amount of data entry and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications

• Maintain up-to-date electronic files for vendors

• Conduct check runs on a weekly basis

• Handle account reconciliation and invoice processing

• Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks

• Provide support in maintaining accurate customer credit records

• May involve making calls to vendors to chase down invoices

• Will include learning and using Foundations for time-tracking and other administrative tasks

• Provide backup support for payroll tasks when required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary, as the role involves maintaining accurate financial records and rectifying any discrepancies.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is required, since the job involves managing outgoing payments and ensuring that all transactions are processed correctly.

• Experience in Check Runs is crucial, as the role includes creating and managing payment schedules.

• Proficiency in Data Entry is a must, as the role involves inputting financial data into the company's system accurately and efficiently.

• Expertise in Invoice Processing is required, as the role involves validating, recording, and paying supplier invoices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed, since the job involves managing spreadsheets, creating reports, and performing data analysis.
