Description

Applicants for the position Payroll Tax Associate should expect to perform the following duties, tasks, and responsibilities:

· Manage and process payroll tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

· Conduct thorough research on tax-related issues and provide timely resolutions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather payroll data and address tax-related inquiries.

· Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary updates to ensure compliance.

· Reconcile tax accounts and address discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.

· Assist in responding to inquiries and audits from tax authorities.

· Collaborate with external vendors to optimize tax filing processes and resolve any issues.

· Generate reports and analyze payroll tax data for internal and external stakeholders.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.

· Assist in special payroll projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

· Possession of the Core Values: Drive, Ownership, Integrity, Teamwork, Trust

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Multi-state payroll tax filing experience

· Proven experience in payroll tax compliance

· Proven proficiencies in payroll, tax deposit, taxing authorities, and tax reporting

· Proficient in payroll processing software and Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external clients

· Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and effectively utilize resources

· Ability to work well under strict time constraints, prioritize client issues, adapt quickly to changing needs, and is flexible when priorities shift.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Aptitude for detail, possesses effective troubleshooting and analytical skills.
