We are offering a role in the manufacturing industry located in SPARTANBURG, South Carolina. This role is an Accounts Payable Clerk, primarily responsible for managing accounts payable tasks within a fast-paced work environment. The position offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of incoming invoices, ensuring accurate data entry and 3 way matching.

• Perform weekly check runs for payable accounts.

• Maintain and manage accounts payable records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.

• Monitor and manage the payment of 500-600 weekly invoices across multiple divisions.

• Use software tools such as Microsoft Excel, SAP ERP, and NetSuite effectively to perform tasks.

• Provide occasional support to the switchboard/admin team when necessary.

• Develop skills and knowledge to potentially take on a supervisory role in the future.

• Adapt to changes in software systems, with an upcoming migration to a cloud-based system.

• Actively participate in a fast-paced work environment, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Maintain a strong focus on growth within the role, demonstrating the ability to take on increased responsibilities over time.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position within the Manufacturing or Construction industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail

• Proven experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial reporting

• Experience with IFS ERP or similar Accounting Systems

• Experience in 3 Way Matching to ensure accuracy of invoices

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance or a related field is a plus.
