Description Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Located in Fairfield, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.

Major responsibilities

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

Operate full-cycle A/P

Help with internal and external audits as required

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Scanning Invoices experience

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of High-Volume Data Entry

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
