Description Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks and expense reports. The Accounts Payable Clerk role will be situated in the Wantagh, New York area and is a permanent employment.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

　　Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

　　Provide support to internal business partners

　　Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

　　Execute additional tasks as needed

　　Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

　　Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

　　Operate full-cycle A/P

　　Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

　　Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

　　Accounting Entries experience

　　Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Account Coding

　　Proficiency in account reconciliation

　　Expertise in account analysis

　　Account Setup experience preferred

　　Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
