Accounting Professional
Location: Clinton Twp, MI - On site
Employment Type: Direct Hire, with Excellent Benefits
Pay/Salary: Starting at $26 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Hours: Office hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with flexible start times until 9:30 AM. Expect 50-55 hours per week during tax season, including required Saturdays. Overtime is paid after 40 hours.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Software Knowledge: Must have strong experience with QuickBooks and familiarity with Thomson Reuters (Tax & Accounting Software)

Renowned for their expertise in supporting small and medium-sized businesses, they are now looking for a dedicated Accounting Professional to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports.Distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to clients' management and stakeholdersTax Compliance:
Prepare corporate income tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Stay updated on tax law changes to optimize company tax strategies.Assist in tax planning to minimize liabilities.Client Consultation:
Collaborate with clients to assess their financial and tax situations.Provide advice on tax implications, estate planning, and wealth transfer.Simplify complex tax concepts for clients and strategize on minimizing tax burdens.Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure timely filing of state and trust tax returns, meeting all regulatory deadlines.Maintain organized records of client-related tax documentation.Respond to tax authority inquiries and manage audits as needed.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or advanced taxation coursework is a plus (preferred).Minimum of 3 years' experience in state and trust taxation, ideally in a CPA firm or financial advisory setting.Proficient in tax preparation and financial accounting software.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills for explaining complex tax concepts.Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize effectively.
