Description

Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our client's team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves overseeing our accounting department's operations, including budgeting, financial statement preparation, and auditing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, managing financial activities across various markets, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end journal entries and financial statements

• Oversight of process improvement

• Reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

• Working with the general ledger

• Preparing sales and use tax returns

• Participating in internal audits

• Leveraging variance analysis skills

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must for this role

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is expected

• Experience in Auditing is essential

• Ability to drive Process Improvement within the department

• Proven skills in Budgeting and Variance Analysis

• Experience in completing Month End Close activities

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required

• Experience in Annual Financial Reporting is necessary

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA would be an advantage.
