Description

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an Accounting Manager on an interim basis for one of our software development clients. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring our company's financial procedures are in line with regulatory standards. With your exceptional leadership skills, you'll be pivotal in directing our accounting staff and ensuring they fulfill their responsibilities accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all general ledger activities.

• Ensure accuracy in accounting procedures and compliance with accounting standards.

• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.

• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Manage budgeting and forecast processes.

• Liaise with auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out smoothly.

• Prepare multi-state sales tax returns.

• Complete foreign exchange transactions and prepare journal entries.

• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.

• Advise on the improvement of financial performance and prepare relevant reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a leadership position.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.

• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

• Advanced excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT, and mathematical abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
