Join an expanding team at Robert Half as an Accounting Manager with our Full Time Engagement Practice. The selected candidate must be detail-oriented and results-driven to thrive in this position. The Accounting Manager will lead daily operations at our top clients, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. This long-term contract employment opportunity is based in Washington, District of Columbia. Your responsibilities in this role
Drive and manage the full accounting cycle including supporting the team and business partners as needed.
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash reports, key financial metrics, and actual spending against budgets/projections.
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes.
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures.
Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
Train staff, prepare SOPs, and other tasks as required by the client.
Requirements
Advanced credentials such as a Masters in Accounting or Business Administration/MBA and/or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are highly preferred.
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Bank Account Reconciliation experience required
Experience with CAM Reconciliation is highly preferred
Consolidated Financial Statements experience preferred
Deep understanding of financial auditing
Proven technical skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience is required
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
10+ years of recent relevant financial experience
