Description Robert Half is looking to fill the vacant position of an Accounting Clerk for an industry-leading organization with a growing team. Candidate must have the ability to perform duties such as, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Atlanta, Georgia, area.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Post financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required

　　Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

　　File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable

　　Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned

　　Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects Requirements - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

　　3+ years of accounting experience required

　　Adeptness in Resolve Discrepancies

　　Foundational knowledge in Invoice Discrepancies

　　Research Discrepancies experience highly desired

　　Solid understanding of QuickBooks

　　Proficiency in Billing Functions

　　Aging Reports experience

　　Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

　　Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
