Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join their staff. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

　　See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes Requirements - Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Knowledge of Daily Deposit

　　Practical knowledge of VLOOKUP

　　Experience with bank reconciliations

　　Bank Account Reconciliation experience

　　General familiarity with Microsoft Excel

　　Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

　　Proven knowledge of Post-Sales Support

　　Well-founded grasp of Excel Formulas

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

　　Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

　　Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
