Description Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for an influential organization. This role requires you to match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, perform data entry tasks and facilitate the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent role in the Woodland Hills, California, area.

　　Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable

　　Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents

　　Manually or electronically post financial information

　　Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned

　　Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements

　　1+ years of accounting experience required

　　Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

　　Proficiency in +QuickBooks REQUIRED (1+ years)

　　Profit and loss experience

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

　　Foundational knowledge in Analyze Financial Statements

　　Expertise in general ledger

　　Excellent data entry skills

　　Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
