Do you want to work for a reputable company as an account receivables clerk? Robert Half is working with one of the best distribution and logistics company that is looking for an account receivables clerk.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Post payments received for goods and services and properly record the transactions. Resolve discrepancies and customer chargebacks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review copies of customer check and remittance advice

Identify all deductions, obtain chargeback information and ensure that proper approvals are in place.

Apply checks to open invoices in the A/R system and charge all deductions to the appropriate G/L account.

Research and resolve chargebacks for assigned customers interacting with sales and distribution personnel and freight carriers as needed.

Utilize customer online systems for chargeback resolution.

Maintain favorable relations with customers and company personnel.

Maintain operational failures log.

Ensure that every customers transaction is filled with appropriate backup; remittance advice, bill of lading and manual customer order.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to communicate and resolve problems

Data Entry skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
