　　The University of Chicago\'s Department of Ophthalmology and VisualScience is searching for full-time Assistant Professors. Appointees willprovide patient care in the area of medical and surgical retina.Appointees will primarily manage patients with medical and surgicalvitreoretinal disease. Other duties will include resident teaching andsupervision of trainees (medical students, residents, retina fellows)and scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package offringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

　　These individuals will join a vibrant and distinguished community offaculty, colleagues, and learners at UChicago Medicine, the BiologicalSciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, the University ofChicago and its affiliates.

　　Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have amedical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medicallicensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board certified or eligible inophthalmology, 4) have completed an ACGME-approved ophthalmologyresidency or its equivalent, and 5) have completed a two-yearvitreoretinal fellowship prior to the proposed start date.
