Manages the Controls Center of the Professional Engineering Procurement Services (PEPS) Division by ensuring continuous improvement initiatives within the PEPS Division are performed consistently and timely. Responsible for a staff section performing research and complex engagements to determine compliance with Division policies, procedures, directives and relevant laws. Work involves planning, organizing and overseeing compliance engagements in compliance with professional standards and/or other programs and maintaining, reviewing and preparing confidential information. Responsible for implementing and maintaining a compliance program that promotes integrity for the division. Supervises a team of analysts and project managers. Reports to the Deputy Division Director. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.Essential Duties:Develops goals and objectives that support functional activities and ensure office responsibilities are effectively accomplished.Develops policies and procedures that establish standards for compliance and prevent and detect serious breaches of departmental policy, fraud, waste and abuse of office; including any acts of criminal conduct within the department and/or by external program participants.Oversees the development and implementation of compliance risk assessment, mitigation plans and standard operating procedures provided by work groups and divisions.Oversees the development and implementation of compliance training education and other preventative mechanisms for reducing risk of non-compliance, fraud and/or abuse.Oversees the review and analysis of investigation reports and monitors procedures for proper compliance interpretation.Presents and recommends modifications to compliance and ethics procedures and policies.Reviews and maintains complaints, concerns or questions relative to compliance issues and provides consultative support.Directs the organization's compliance efforts to include the administration, investigation and enforcement of plans and policies.Plans, organizes and oversees compliance evaluations in compliance with professional standards and division policies and procedures.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
