Our data team supports the data structures andtools that staff use to solve business problems. We also have a team ofbusiness intelligence analysts who help the Enterprise Technology teamsunderstand how their applications are performing. This position is thequarterback for that business intelligence team. Here are somecharacteristics of the data leader were looking for:

　　Youre a wizard with data. You can take a million-row CSV, poke around,explore, visualize, and in 4 minutes, you can describe what the data areabout.

　　Youre a storyteller. After analyzing the data, you can use your queryskills and visualization skills to tell a clear and coherent story aboutwhat the data say.

　　Youre a consultant. You can work with customers who need to analyze andvisualize. You can let them know what data to use, what tools to use,what techniques to use.

　　You are an analytics leader. You can develop and nurture staff to makethem as good as you are with data analysis (or better!). You can manageanalysts who are early in their careers just as well as you can manage aseasoned BI developer. You can code switch between talking about theright SQL function to use and talking about the most diplomatic way totell a customer that their analysis is flawed.
