As the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program Director, you will be responsible for creating enriching experiences for youth involved in after-school activities that complement and support classroom-based instruction. If hired for this position, you will help provide students the opportunity to engage in diverse learning experiences that develop core social competencies that contribute to success in academics and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and evaluate programs, activities, and events.Establish new program activities and expand program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.Develop or assist in the marketing and distribution of program information, organize and schedule program registrations.Coordinate use of facilities for program activities and events.Compile program statistics to help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and participation of program.Support branch-wide communication standards and systems.Ensure all sites are providing high quality care following curriculum on a daily basis.Providing program coverage support as needed for staff call outs, vacations, etc.Ensure all sites maintain designated staffing ratios at all times while communicating and maintaining a healthy relationship with the school district and other partners.
Qualifications:
Two years' related experience (preferred).Background in Youth Development, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and/or Elementary Education or possess equivalent educational background in courses relating to childcare (preferred).Demonstrated in-depth knowledge is preferred and/or a degree in field of work.Experience in the development, delivery, and management of programs or equivalent, with full understanding of child care regulations and licensing requirements.Positive attitude and previous experience with children and diverse populations.Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance (preferred).Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Wage: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
